#SpudFest23

SpudFest is back for another year! Thanks to Aylett Nurseries for providing a seed potato for Year Four children at our local primary schools to #HaveAGrow.

The seed potatoes are a Second Early Variety called ‘Nicola’ and are suitable for growing in containers as well as straight into the earth.

Each child will be provided with a leaflet with growing instructions from the RHS.

We’re looking forward to hearing about their progress later in the year,

Seed potatoes – now on the stall!

Fancy having a go at growing spuds this year?
We have ‘taster’ packs of Swift seed potatoes (a First Early variety).
Available on the stall at 71 Leyland Avenue.

*** Suggested donation 3 for 50p ***

Fast growing. Does well in the ground and also grows well in containers.
Plant 3 in a container that can hold about 40 litres of soil (8-9 gallons)
